Privacy policy
This notice covers the INCRMNT website, shared account, mobile workout tracker, optional AI Coach Pro service and trainer portal.
Who controls your data
Ben Turner, trading as INCRMNT, based in Burgess Hill, UK, is the controller. Contact [email protected]. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Information we use
Account data includes verified email, identity-provider identifiers, display name, preferences, equipment, goals, subscription status and timestamps recording your 13+ and, if chosen, 18+ age-band confirmations. INCRMNT does not collect your date of birth. Training data includes routines, planned calendars, workouts, exercises, sets, cardio, records, progress and accepted programmes. Optional check-ins contain structured weight, sleep, energy, soreness, stress, hunger and adherence scores; free-text check-in notes remain private and are excluded from AI requests. Nutrition is limited to optional daily calorie and macro totals. We also process consent, personal-trainer invitations and requests, coaching engagements, private PT messages, programme proposals, security, device, push-token, billing-event and AI audit data.
Apple Health and device reminders
On iOS, you can optionally allow INCRMNT to write completed strength workouts to Apple Health. The app writes the workout type, start time, finish time and duration only; it does not invent calories or heart-rate data, read Apple Health data or upload Apple Health data to INCRMNT or Supabase. Export status is kept on your device so a retry does not create a duplicate. Workout reminders and their permission status are also stored and scheduled locally on your device and do not require an Expo push token.
Why and on what basis
We use account and tracker data to perform the service you request. We use necessary security, fraud prevention and service measurement for legitimate interests. Optional marketing, coach sharing and AI processing depend on the consent shown at the point of use, which can be withdrawn. Health-related inferences can be special-category data; AI will remain disabled until the UK lawful-basis review and DPIA are complete.
AI Coach Pro: collection and sharing with DeepSeek
AI is available only to subscribers aged 18+ who separately switch on permission in the app or account portal. INCRMNT collects the information used for an AI request from details you enter or select in the app, synced workout, check-in and nutrition records, and metrics calculated by INCRMNT from those records. No information is sent to the AI provider before the current permission is recorded. You can use the non-AI tracker without giving this permission.
For an AI question, workout review or programme draft, INCRMNT sends data to DeepSeek, operated by Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd. The data can include: your typed or selected request; an irreversible pseudonymous account code; the fact you are an adult; training goal, experience, available training days, usual session length and equipment; calculated workout counts, adherence, muscle-set and frequency totals, recorded effort and recovery scores; recent dates with calorie and macro totals when relevant; exercise names and completed set type, reps, load, duration, distance and effort when you request a workout review; recent messages from the same AI conversation; and an exercise catalogue, including names and equipment, when drafting a programme. DeepSeek returns the generated answer or programme. The purposes are to answer the request, explain training and nutrition metrics, review a selected workout, and draft a programme.
INCRMNT does not send your name, email address, age-confirmation record, guardian information, private check-in notes, recorded medical information, password or payment details. Requests are minimised and screened before transfer. DeepSeek may process and store the submitted content and generated response in China. Its published privacy policy says content may be retained as necessary to provide and secure its service, meet legal obligations and improve its technology. INCRMNT does not sell this information. INCRMNT enables the provider only where contractual and organisational safeguards require protection at least equivalent to this policy; otherwise AI Coach remains disabled.
AI output can be wrong and is not medical care. Withdrawing permission immediately blocks future AI requests. It does not cancel a subscription or undo processing already completed. INCRMNT keeps temporary AI conversations for up to 90 days unless you choose to save one; you can delete saved conversations or your account. DeepSeek's handling of a request is also described in the DeepSeek privacy policy.
Personal trainers and other recipients
An approved, subscribed personal trainer can read your planned calendar, completed workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, check-ins and programmes only while an accepted engagement is active. Trainers cannot directly alter client-owned workout or calendar records. Either participant can disconnect immediately; this revokes training-data access and makes historical messages read-only. Programme proposals remain inactive until you accept and schedule them. RevenueCat supplies separate AI Coach Pro and Trainer Pro entitlements; Apple, Google or RevenueCat Web Billing handles applicable platform payments. Supabase supplies authentication and database services. Expo supplies best-effort push delivery. We do not sell personal information.
Age confirmations
You must tick a checkbox confirming that you are at least 13 when creating or completing an account. INCRMNT stores the time of that confirmation but does not collect your date of birth. AI Coach, subscriptions and personal-training connections are limited to adults. If you choose one of those non-essential features, you must separately tick a checkbox confirming that you are 18 or older. The confirmation record is not sent to the AI provider.
Retention and security
AI conversations are scheduled for deletion after 90 days. Operational billing and safety audit metadata is retained only for documented legal, security and dispute periods; full provider payloads are not retained indefinitely. Account data remains until deletion or an applicable legal retention period. Waitlist records are separate and are not automatically converted into accounts. Access is protected with verified authentication, row-level database policies and server-only secrets.
Your choices and rights
The account portal and app let you correct settings, withdraw AI consent, disconnect a personal trainer, export a machine-readable copy and request deletion. You can turn reminders and future Apple Health exports off in the app, and revoke their permissions in device settings. Deleting an INCRMNT workout does not delete a workout already exported to Apple Health. You may also request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability by email. Deleting an account does not itself cancel an App Store or Play subscription; use the relevant subscription-management page first.
